This may not apply to anybody else, but I though I'd share it in case it does help anybody else. Although they will coexist peacefully, you CANNOT install VB6 if the Microsoft .NET Framework is installed. You can do the reverse (ie install the .NET Framework if VB6 is installed), and everything will work. But the VB installer will hang if the .NET framework is already installed.

Now, that's what happened to me. If the VB6 installer hangs, and you have the .NET Framework installed, try uninstalling the .NET Framework. I can't guarantee that will fix it, but it might.
