Dear Professionals:

I embedded PowerPoint file in my form as an OLE, it is needed to run PowerPoint to run the presentation, I want Microsoft PowerPoint be installed on end user's pc automatically, I tried " packaging and development " Add in, but it couldn't make an installer for me, by any chance is there any way to install Microsoft programs individually and automatically? Or using a file without need to install its application first?

Or I can ask my question in this way:

My program doesn't work on computer which Microsoft PowerPoint is not installed.
Because some reasons I don't want to use PowerPoint viewer, it doesn't work properly with animation timings. Is there any way I can install all the appropriate files by VB itself.

Thanks ffor your help in advance

Yours sincerely

BObby

It is easy to have a PowerPoint presentation on a computer that does not have PowerPoint. Microsoft created the PowerPoint Viewer 97. They have now updated it to the PowerPont 2003. I have put the URL for it below. If you have the viewer you can play PowerPoint files. Hope that helps.

You can't distribute powerpoint with your app, there are copyright/legal limitations...

I know you can't distribute Powerpoint with your application. I don't know if you can distrubute the PowerPoint Viewer 2003 with your application or not. You could always have a link to the microsoft download. Exclaim

I've never heard of it before so I can't be sure... If it's free I assume that it's OK to have with your app. I ASSUME!

Ya P.T.A.M. I am not sure also if you can really distribute the Powerpoint Viewer 2003 or not. I would just have a link to the Microsoft website somewhere in your installer file or have it stated inside the System Requirements that the computer needs PowerPoint Viewer or Powerpoint.
