I'd like to know how many people would have any use for, could contribute to, or have any interest whatsoever in an AIM Connection Library (well, not really a "library" per se.. just an ActiveX DLL) for the OSCAR protocol... I'm writing one for my IM program, and I want to know if it would be worth sharing the code for it by itself.

Yeah, I found a few things at PSCode, but most of them were TOC, not OSCAR... the few that were OSCAR either didn't work, or were not very clean code, and none were very well documented.. however, if u do know of a good one, it'd be awesome if u could give me a link or something.

I never had the need for it, I was just giving you the link to help you out in case you got stumped.. but I say go for it... I've wrote things before just to have cleaner code. Good luck :-D And let us know when it's done so we can all see :-D

Steve.
I have been using an OCX called oscSock and I'm pretty happy with it. Although it is very sloppily coded it works for me. If there is any way of you sharing your source with me I would be very greatful. I am in the process of developing a couple of bots for fun and this would help me out a lot.
One thing missing the the oscSock OCX is Removing a buddy from the buddylist, as well as accepting incoming Direct Connections.
Some other things that are missing or not fully coded is accepting IMs from Sidekick II Client or other clients that aren't the standard AIM.
I've never dealt with OSCAR protocol at all, not really familiar with it but I do kno that it does not recognize "3 1 1 2 1 1" if that makes any sense or rings any bells for you.
Thank you very much!
