hi,

i'm having problem of running VB 5.0 on Windows XP. I really don't know what is the problem. When I double-click on the VB icon, I got splash screen. Then, Windows Installer Lanch saying "Prepering to install". It never ends. The problem is, I know that VB 5.0 doesn't use this new Windows Installer and I don't know how it is possible that those two programs get connected...

thanks in advance.

Lj.

So when you run Visual Basic 5, a Windows Installer appears trying to install nothing???? I have discovered that Visual Basic 5 does not work at all on Windows XP for me. Try installing and using Visual Basic 5 on either a Windows 98/200 or ME. It will work fine on those.
