I would like to create a DLL from Visual BASIC, to reuse code. I have read several times how to do that, using a CLASS inside the DLL, which causes that the invokation of the functions stored in it have to be done as a class method
I wonder if is feasible to create a dll that, instead of containing a class for all my functions, will have one or more standard modules, so the invokation will be by simply naming the function, and not using any fake class
thanks

personally, I have modules/classes for different types of things...I keep them in a folder seperate from the rest of my code to easily find it. For example, I put all the functions I mainly use when dealing with winsock controls in a module called winsock_functions.bas or something like that. DLL's require registration, so I tend to avoid them unless I'm writing something to post on a web site or something that requires a DLL instead of an EXE. _________________ If you happen to see little people sitting on your desk...don't tell anyone or they might think your crazy too. |
