I would like to create a DLL from Visual BASIC, to reuse code. I have read several times how to do that, using a CLASS inside the DLL, which causes that the invokation of the functions stored in it have to be done as a class method

I wonder if is feasible to create a dll that, instead of containing a class for all my functions, will have one or more standard modules, so the invokation will be by simply naming the function, and not using any fake class

thanks

Hi!

Yes it's like good to have dll's at some point but if the code is not too much then its like not good. Now its really upto you weather you want to have dll's or not.

Thanks!

personally, I have modules/classes for different types of things...I keep them in a folder seperate from the rest of my code to easily find it. For example, I put all the functions I mainly use when dealing with winsock controls in a module called winsock_functions.bas or something like that. DLL's require registration, so I tend to avoid them unless I'm writing something to post on a web site or something that requires a DLL instead of an EXE.
