I have a data report which I need to print landscape as there is a long line of fields which need to be printed and they do not fit onto a page in portrait format.

The problem is I do not know how to set the report to print in landscape. It will not print if I make it too wide - the error I get is as follows:
Run-time error '8542':
Report width larger than the paper width.

(I'm using a data environment and do not have crystal reports - application or knowledge)

Thanks for any help!!

Thanks for the info - have not found the service pack yet, but am still looking.

i think i had the same prob before. there's no "Orientation" in the properties window of the report right? i don't really know any other solutions but what i did was i installed a vb6 service pack updatte and voila i can specify wether the report has portrait or landscape orientation...catch is forgot the name of the file i don't a copy of it with me...just go ahead and try looking at [link]

Hope this helps...and sorry if it didn't...
