Hi everyone, Im having difficulties installing VB on my computer,

I start the installer, click the very first " Next " button and it just totally dissapears ( no error nothing ) - And then I tried installing a copy of VB 8 beta I have, and the instalation of that just gets so far and then just crashes ( with a choice to send an error report ).

So I started thinking it wasnt the copies of VB I have, and I installed BOTH on my moms computer and both worked just fine.

I have had both VB's running on this computer before. I dont know if that could possibly have anything to do with it. Im hoping not to have to reinstall everything but it looks like I might have to.

Does anyone know of any reason why this might be happening, and any ways round it please. any help much appreciated :-)

There might be a problem with the registry or something. I have never heard of this? What is your OS?

Thanks for the reply.
THe operating system Im ussing is XP Home SP 2.
On tuesday Im gonna be doin a bit of upgrading of my PC, and I might just take the time then to wipe everything and start again, I would be suprised if that doesnt make it work ( fingers crossed )
