Hello,

I am trying to install Visual Studio .Net on my computer. My OS is Windows 98. I have put the first CD in and clicked on the vs_setup file.

A window comes up saying 'preparing to install' and then onto 'gathering required informaion. But after is, it doesnt do anything. Why is this? Why isnt it installing? When do i need to insert the other CDs?

I would be greatful for your help. Cheers!

Hi Mitesh2004,

Better upgrade to a better OS like Windows ME, 2000, 2003, XP. I have never tried installing .net on 98 but have successfully installed it on ME, XP and 2000.

Also i have faced alot of problems installing .net on these OS'es but i think its all rectified now.

Thanks!
